Nerina Finetto is the founder and CEO of Traces&Dreams. A visionary leader, she is dedicated to fostering a more sustainable and equitable future through the power of knowledge and storytelling. Guided by the belief that narratives and knowledge are catalysts for cultural transformation, she works to bridge disciplines, ideas, and voices, creating spaces for dialogue, imagination, and innovation.
A connector of dots and a specialist in narrative and communication, Nerina brings a rich background in journalism and a deep passion for exploring how stories shape our understanding of the world and our place within it. With extensive experience in designing and communicating innovative, cross-cultural projects, she focuses on turning complex ideas into shared narratives that inspire collective action and envision new futures.
Before founding Traces&Dreams, Nerina built a dynamic international career in media and communications. She spent over a decade in Germany, leading corporate media teams and producing internal and external video content at DaimlerChrysler TV Media, eventually heading its corporate video department. She later founded her own communications consultancy, advising educational institutions and small businesses on storytelling and digital strategy.
As an award-winning documentary filmmaker, Nerina developed and produced films centered on science, innovation, and culture, collaborating with production companies and broadcasters across Europe. Her early academic research in gender history — exploring women’s lives through 18th- and 19th-century autobiographical texts — continues to inform her thoughtful, human-centered approach to storytelling today.
Nerina is the mother of four children. Her work is deeply rooted in the idea of legacy — a commitment to future generations and a quiet dedication to the memory of her daughter. When not shaping stories, she finds grounding in nature and joy in the company of her three children, nurturing the values that guide her vision for a wiser, more interconnected tomorrow.
